Imperial Stout with Vermont Maple Syrup, vanilla, milk sugar, and fenugreek.
We brewed this beer with gallons Vermont maple syrup for an ultimate brunch bev. It's packed with rich maple aroma and flavor thanks to the gallons of maple syrup added during fermentation, and a bit of fenugreek (a spice that also has a maple flavor) and smoothed out with the combo of milk sugar and vanilla. Only thing that's missing is the pancakes...

Zero head on this baby. Thick, gooey lace on the glass.
Smell and taste of, yes you guessed it, Maple and vanilla. Feels thick and oily. Almost no carbonation.
Overall pretty it taste good but I do like some fizz in my beers.

16 ounce can, canned on 01/19/22, label says 10.3% ABV. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing, too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like maple, vanilla, cream, roasted malt and some coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some burnt/charred malt, earthy and dark bready flavors. Maple stands out in both the taste and aroma, but it's not overpoweringly sweet either. Starts off sweet with some earthiness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's smooth and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, definitely worth trying if you like maple and/or sweeter tasting imperial stouts!

On tap at Hop City, Birmingham
Pours jet black with a one finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring. Smells of coffee, maple syrup, milk sugars and a bit of fenugreek popping through. Rates of chocolate and maple up front, followed by a bit of creamy milk sugars and vanilla. The fenugreek gives a hint of spice in the finish, lingers if maple and chocolate. Medium body, moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and finish

Pipeworks does it again with a complex stout. Maple, coffee, and creme brulee are the flavor representatives. One of the easiest drinking breakfast stouts out there.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 11/1/19, had 10/16/20.
Pours a dark brown, opaque and thick looking, with a half inch head of darker foam and light foamy lacing. Aromas of maple syrup, milk chocolate, malt, fenugreek, some vanilla. Similar flavors- milk chocolate, maple syrup, fenugreek, malt, some vanilla. Smooth, creamy, a very good but slightly thinner full body, well carbonated.
Pretty straightforward. The fenugreek adds a little spice and tempers the sweetness, but overall, this is nothing special. That said, it’s well done and enjoyable.

Thanks to somebody for sending this 16 oz. can to me….I’m too lazy to go check who. Probable date on the edge of the bottom of the can that’s illegible.
The pour is dark, brooding, liquid Andrew Eldritch. My wife says she can smell the maple from several feet away. That’s good.
Your Brain on Brunch is solid. Maple comes through with moderate strength, with mid-palate vanilla, sweetness that’s likely a combo of the maple & milk sugar, & a touch of bitter roast on the finish.
I had high hopes for this – not the first time I’ve had it, just finally running a review through my brain – but it’s just good. Good beer. I like good beer.

Pours seal brown topped by a finger's worth of khaki foam that sputters away in short order. Preternatural aroma—which can be smelled from several feet away—consists of French toast slathered in maple syrup and butter. I'm not sure I've come across a more compelling aroma in a beer...
The taste follows the nose, evoking pancakes drenched in maple syrup and melted butter, along with brown sugar, toasted bread, roasted malt, and mild, earthy hops. Warming reveals notes of lactose and charcoal. Medium-heavy body and mild carbonation make for a smooth, slightly still mouthfeel. A palpable stickiness lingers on the lips between sips.
First off, let me say that this beer is best enjoyed fresh, as this can was cracked open three months later than its mates and has mellowed considerably. It's still quite enjoyable—just slightly muted. Fresh, this is the best maple stout I've had, bar none. It tastes exactly like the label shows without being at all gimmicky or adjuncty. I'd be tempted to straight up drink it for breakfast. Pipeworks' stouts tend to be hit or miss, but Your Brain on Brunch is a home run for sure.
