Light golden brown. Kind of an grassy/earthy aroma. Taste is roasted corn, honey, and a light spiciness somewhat reminiscent of rye beers. Great mouthfeel: somewhat full and round, creamy upfront and crisp in the finish. Overall, a solid beer. Better when very cold. Didn't think it gained much as it warmed.
I have not been disappointed by lagers from Pipeworks. I will buy this again.

16oz can, dated 03.05.2020, poured into a 12oz tumbler glass.
The beer pours a golden amber color, honey and straw hues with a foamy white head, about a finger tall that has good retention and lacing. The aroma is pleasant, a bit herbal and floral, grassy with a layer of honey and strong amber malts that bring out some caramel. The flavors are good, nice mix of amber and cereal grains jump out, light caramel malt, earthy green hop bitterness, grassy, floral and a bit herbal with a touch of fruity sweetness. The mouthfeel is good, coating medium body, hearty but with a nice lively texture and a crisp finish.
Verdict: A nice Maibock from Pipeworks. Pleasantly malty, nice crisp earthy flavors that offer a bit of balance to the generally sweet grains that makes for a refreshing beer.

Appearance - The beer poured straw yellow with visible carbonation and a fluffy white head crowning the pour.
Smell - The nose smelled of fresh cut grass with light bitterness.
Taste - I was immediately impressed by the smoothness of the profile. The profile was grassy, creamy, and just a touch of bitterness in back.
Mouthfeel - The little bubbles of carbonation and creaminess make for a smooth body.
Overall - This is pretty ideal for the style.

The PW aroma is quite subdued, but there it is mostly notes of sweet bread and grain. The flavor profile has some rich sweet notes, a very spicy yeast notes with some earthy hops on the back end. The malty sweetness is really balanced with that spiciness that the yeast brings. Feel is light, it lacks that nice rich chewiness I normally get from this style. It is clean, crisp and bright with a nice bright carbonation. This one is also good! Enjoyable to drink and a decent example of the style.

Canned 3/5/20; drank 4/12/20 @ the Yarchives.
See-through golden appearance.
A violent pour yielded a HUGE, reverse-cascading off-white head (careful pouring!); strong, frothy lace.
Caramel, corn & wheat notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Caramel, corn & mild cream flavors.
Rich but drinkable; not bad!!

This is a great Maibock! Great example of the style. Crisp, clean, great malt, and German hops. Wonderful malty and hoppy smell. Slightly smoky and a hint of vanilla and dark fruit.
