DIPA with mango juice, Amarillo, Centennial, Citra, Cryo Citra and Cryo Mosaic hops.

Things are getting competitive in the Drive Thru Meatball district of Meatball Town, founded by our own Mayor elect of the brew cellar, Andy...a new meatball shop just opened up and this one has upped it by also serving massive mango flavor. This is a double IPA that's hazy, very juicy, with hops that are complimented by mango juice. If you've had out other beers in this series ("Drive Thru Meatballs" & "Even Juicier Drive Thru Meatballs") you know that these beers are aromatically hoppy and very smooth.

16oz can, dated 09.18.2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.

The beer pours a very hazy and turbid orange color, amber hues with a tall and foamy white head that has excellent retention and yields wonderful lacing. The aroma is nice, mango juice, tropical punch, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, very floral, dank and piney with a nice grassiness and sweet yeast, pale dough and mineral water. The flavors are good, tangy and juicy hops, mango and pineapple leap out of the glass with a nice valencia orange and grapefruit cocktail, moderate acidity, lightly floral, fairly grassy and dank, light piney hops with assertive biscuit malt and sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body that has a nice heft with an easy and creamy finish that is lightly dry.

Verdict: A nice NEIPA from Pipeworks. The mango juice is a nice addition and gives a pleasant acidity that helps break up what would otherwise be an impossibly sweet beer.
