Ale with Oats, Rye Malt, Pears and Cinnamon.
What's better than a pear? A pair of pears, of course! This beer is light, bright and effervescent thanks to pear juice and warming cinnamon. Somehow this beer tastes like soft sunlight on a cold but bright winter day - it's refreshing.

L - Slightly hazy, gold with bright white head. The finger and a half of foam shrinks to a ring with a little bit clinging to the glass.
S - Rye grassiness - not a lot going on.
T - The pear sweetness and the cinnamon finish add complexity and depth to the solid malt backbone.
F - Full bodied leaning towards syrupy but not in a detracting way.
O - Very drinkable beer with a creative flavor profile.

Served from the can in a Mickey Finn's shaker pint glass.
A pear pair. Don't pare 'em down. Anyway, this stuff pours a mostly clear sunset brass topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises pear flesh (better than pair flesh, believe you me), cinnamon, buttery biscuit, clove, and a twinge of lemon peel. The taste brings in more of the same, the spices constantly battling for supremacy with the pears. That rye malt character finally shows up and mucks things up even further. It's a bit chaotic, taste buds constantly being buffeted between anchor points of flavor. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a liquid feel. Overall, a nice idea, but the execution has led to a bit of a mixed bag. If the flavors were more blended than competitive, things would have turned out better.
