This Sakura wood aged sour plum ale is a perfect blend of tart, fruity complexity and smooth, oaky depth. Brewed with ripe plums, this ale boasts bright bursts of juicy stone fruit, balanced by sourness and subtle floral notes from the Sakura wood. The result is a refreshingly crisp, slightly tannic beer with an elegant, lingering finish.

16oz can, 1227 stamped on the can otherwise undated, poured into a Pipeworks snifter glass. Enjoyed on 05.15.2025, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a medium amber color, reds and oranges, fairly opaque with a fizzy white head, no lacing. The aroma is pleasant, tart plum, earthy wood, buggy, floral, citrusy with sweet amber grain. The flavors are nice, very tart, plum jam, earthy oak, stone fruits, wildflower, sweet grains, buggy, light vinegar, mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body, tart, crisp, lightly dry finish.
Verdict: A decent plum sour. The wood quality is nice, fruit works but it's quite sour and get's somewhat vinegary.
