Copenhagen 14/2 2026. 47,3 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. The can design consists of different small cards with a blue one on top with the head of a unicorn and the name of the beer.
Pours clear dark mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a healthy dose of sweet spice and a whiff of dark alcohol. Dark malts, vanilla and cinnamon. Brown sugar. Bourbon peeking in. Sour notes of grains.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit pastry-like. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
More pastry than Strong Ale.

Appearance - The beer was a light shade of brown, making me think this might be a porter or stout.
Smell - Cinnamon came through in the nose with light notes of chocolate.
Taste - The more that I drank this the more I thought it was like Horchata and cola. It was sweet and somewhat milky, but blending it with a stout did this beer wrong. The cinnamon lingered, but it was not overpowering.
Mouthfeel - The body was silky, almost like a milk stout.
Overall - I wanted to like this more. It was a rare miss from.Pipeworks barrel program.

This was fine. A bit confusing and I don't think I quite understand the purpose of this beer. I don't think there was enough BA Stout blended into the base beer here to make a real difference. So not sure what they wanted to accomplish besides possibly wasting some decent BA Stout on a beer that didn't need any? As is, they took two beers, combined them and didn't really make one or the other better. Maybe Pipeworks is sitting on a surplus of BA Stout that needed to go somewhere? Otherwise the Horchata part comes through as advertised which is pretty interesting on its own.
