This one is definitely underrated! The flavor is quite complex in which each on brings something to the table. Cocoa, vanilla and Cherry are all appreciated addition to a very nice coffee and imperial stout. A more medium mouthfeel.

Batch #517-520 from 2014-09-21, opened 2017-01-18.

Looks like a great stout. Jet black, totally opaque, not overly carbonated, and some nice lacing.

It has a distinct cherry-cola sort of scent. The Pipeworks Abduction stouts tend to have a strong component of bitterness and a bit of smokiness from the base stout. Maybe it's the age, but this one has a cherry-forward scent with a bit of chocolate and malted grains underneath.

The flavor is pretty similar, with a subtle chocolate-covered-cherry flavor on top of a mellow base of roasted malt.

It also has a nice, somewhat oily feel.

Overall, it's pretty nice, and I think it has aged surprisingly well.

L- Solid. Black with a slightly reddish hue around the edges. Head doesn't linger.

S- Milk chocolate with some cherry and booze.

T- Not quite there. Definitely cherry, but it's a little medicine-y. Some chocolate. Not a lot of depth of flavors.

F- Smooth, but thin. Medium-low carb.

O- Pretty average.

Looks like a good stout, smells nice for a flavored stout. Strong cherry scents, mild chocolate notes. Tart cherry booze on the front end, mild roasty stout and chocolate behind it. Pretty good Abduction series beer.
