L-Deep cola brown with a thick 1/2 inch white head which recedes to a ring with excellent lacing.
S-roasty malts and vanilla both present in equal measure
T-Roasted malts are present as well as the vanilla. Vanilla is incredibly well balanced and can be detected in tandem with the malts. Really well done.
F- Carbonation is light and appropriate for the style. Mouthfeel overall is at the higher end of medium.
O-One of the best exhibitions of the use of vanilla in a beer. As a porter it is also well above average. A definite rebuy.

LOOK: Dark. More black than brown, really. Nice light tan head with dense bubbles. (But the head fades fast to leave just a touch of lacing around the edges.)
SMELL: Hardly any aroma. Expected to get some vanilla, but if it's there, it's a very soft whiff.
TASTE: Vanilla flavor goes nicely over what's otherwise a robust porter. But yes, vanilla is the leading actor here.
FEEL: On the fuller side of medium-bodied. So... not as full as I'd expect. Some chewy minerals to that mouthfeel.

Poured from the bomber into an oversized pint glass.
Pours dark brown, but not jet black. Barely any head to speak of.
Smells nice and just what I'd look for in a vanilla porter. Plenty of good roast and vanilla sweetness.
Taste is lacking. Very thin taste with little flavor when swallowed. Disappointing.
Mouthfeel was very thin to watery.
Overall, I love Crop, and while this beer was ok, it needs work.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Winooski Beverage.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" tan head over the clear ruby brew. Head fades gradually, with lasting lace. Aroma is roasty grains and vanilla.
Taste is roasted drank sweetness to start, carrying on through the middle where the vanilla comes on, and closes with light bitterness and maybe a touch of coffee. Velvety mouthfeel, and drinkability is easy. Nice brew. Not the cloying fake vanilla that some of the style find.
