Country Boy Brewing - Double Barrel Shotgun Wedding. 11.2% ABV. 3oz sample pour in mini mug.
Look: Dark reddish maroon body, with quite a bit of dark head.
Smell: Pretty similar to the regular Shotgun Wedding; lots of sweet vanilla and brown sugar, but now with a strong presence of bourbon.
Feel: Medium feel, with more body than the base beer itself.
Taste: Just as good as the aromas. Rich vanilla, brown sugar, caramel. with a nice backing of bourbon, without being overpowering.
Overall: Had at the Firkin Fest 2016 in Ashland, KY. This was the first beer I had down here, and I'm glad I was lucky enough to try it since it was gone in 20 minutes. It would be hard to improve the regular Shotgun Wedding, but this seems to do it.
