500ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy ruby reddish orange color with 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, plum, orange, pear, red/green apple, red grape, melon, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, and white bread; with light notes of oak, vanilla, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, blackberries, and light-moderate pale malt/oak notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, plum, orange, pear, red/green apple, red grape, melon, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, and white bread; with light notes of oak, vanilla, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, plum, orange, pear, red/green apple, red grape, melon, hay, straw, grass, pepper, wheat, white bread, light oak/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, blackberries, and light-moderate pale malt/oak flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance; and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from tart/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited wild saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, blackberries, and light-moderate pale malt/oak flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly tart/tangy/spicy/drying finish. Great well rounded Brett and saison yeast complexity with balanced berries; solid oak presence and malt backbone. Not as jammy as I hoped for, but I think the saison yeast has a lot to do with that. A very enjoyable offering.

A somewhat cloudy purple/plum color. No head.

Aroma: dark berries and funk. toes?

Taste: very tart/sour. lactic? reminds me of a lambic but with funk. berry sweetart (the candy) finish.
