This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a dark brown almost black in color with a thin off white head that dissipated fairly quick. No lace. The aroma had some milk chocolate up front and then cinnamon with the vanilla bean roasty to sly sweetness. The chilis are barely there. The flavor seemed to have the sweet flavors up front and then the cinnamon comes in. Chilis seem just a touch bolder in the flavor than the aroma. Sly roasty to milk chocolate aftertaste with a quick sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable sort of feel about, unexpectant, but yes, one could take big sips of this if they want. Cinnamon and chilis seem to enact a slight dry grip on my tongue, but doesn’t really distract nor add anything, just seems right. Overall, quite nice of a tame Mexican styled impy stout, spice and chilis are far underneath making a for a great balance and not a palate wrecker as I expected.

Pours jet black with no light getting thru,a thin wispy mocha colored head atop. The aromas are pretty uninspring, mellow chili's and faint bitter chocolate mainly.A mellow medium feel with some slickness.Mainly chocolate/tootsie role and caramel on the palate with some light chili in the finish,I do get a hint of cinnamon as it warms a bit.Uninspring is a good adjective for this beer, not horrible but eh....

Deep black however not very tar-like.
Chili peppers on the nose with light vanilla and espresso. Faint on the nose.
Flavor is like watered down BOMB. Some peppery notes and vanilla bean but not much to talk about really.
Feel is extremely watery. Like, super watery. A little carbonation and roast behind that.
Even for an oatmeal stout it's anorexic. Flavorless coffee water with a dash of chili powder.
