500ml bottle with no date. Didn't look old but all the ratings are from a while back which makes me go hmmmm. When opened the carbonation shot up quickly but not much was lost. Fluffy head in DFH tulip that subsided quickly. Body was a hazy darkish gold. Aroma was of lemony grassy smells with a trace of funk. Taste mirrored the smell. Could not detect any juniper. Mouthfeel was fine. It was an ok Farmhouse ale for a late summer day but not even close to top tier. Plus wtf is going on with not dating bottles with even a year? Anyone have a positive opinion of Urban Family Brewing?

-hazy to cloudy yellow bottle pour with a 2 cm sticky foam cap. Aroma is lemony with sour-funk notes. The mouthfeel is wet with citrus, melon and and some bubblegum flavors. The tartness is minimal, but there is a farmhouse presence. I do not detect the juniper, but this is a refreshing and interesting brew. I hope to find more offerings from Urban Family (before my yearly Pacific NW trip).

among the best i have had from these guys, a realy cool wild beer with juniper, has a very gin-like quality to it, tastes super fresh and botanical, and has a great bitterness to finish that i am not used to in the style. clearer and more refined looking than a lot of their others i have had, and with a nice white head on it too, active and shiny in the glass. the aroma is majorly fresh without the sourness that define a lot of their beers, especially lately. instead, we get a somewhat subtle farmy yeast profile, musty and not really very dry in the nose, rustic and cleaner than most, light brett and some belgian subtlety. the juniper berries are great, wintery and fresh, lightly medicinal and astringent, but super natural tasting and not subtle at all. a pils and pale wheat type base i would think, real simple, almost elegant beer, which is not something i have seen from these guys before. neat yeast profile, a bit more developed than i am used to from them too, and a break from the mold of that samey lackluster wild culture that i kept finding in so much of their stuff. this is great stuff, easy drinking and expressive on the palate, juniper and mild funk to finish. very very solid!

Aroma is pale malts, bubblegum and mild juniper berries. The flavor is pale malts, bubblegum, fruit, mild sugar/juniper berries and a tart/slightly sweet finish.
