its never been the hoppy stuff to turn me on the most from these guys, its their fermentation forward stuff, but i had a couple of really cool ipa types when i was in there recently, although this one didnt really do anything out of the ordinary. its cryo citra, el dorado, and amarillo, which i hoped might pop a little more than it does here. its the el dorado and the melon notes it has above the others for me in this, but its also not super well refined, very hazy, perhaps under carbonated, a little heavy feeling as it warms, and with some amount of green hoppiness to it, a bite that should be unintentional, not bitterness but that hop burn thing. the flavor is nice though, the hops are fresh, and the little bit of forcing it at the end doesnt ruin the beer at all. the cryo citra is resinous and somewhat intense on the center of the tongue, and it starts earlier in the flavor than the other hops do, so it has a nice little solo in the middle here. sweet orange and lemon notes, green grape, cantaloupe, and a little botanical piney thing at the end. overall a good ipa, but in a lineup of a number of their current hoppy offerings, this didnt stand out to me...
