this is another hazy ipa from these guys, they had a lot more on than i remember this trip to the brewery, but they all were quite different from one another. this was paler and lighter in color than most of the others we had, but also looks a little brighter too, and holds its head well. it focuses on barbe rouge hops, and has some others in there with it, but this is such a distinctive varietal that this beer stood out from the others as one of the more unique. i get red berry, currant and cherry even from these guys, nice over a simple and somewhat rustic or even raw wheaty grain base, less built up than others but not watery in feel either. the fruitiness is so distinct in there hops, slight dried raspberry, sweet fruit punch, and a little melon as well, really interesting and almost sweet, as pungent in the flavor as in the aroma too which is cool. it feel nice and soft, has no bitterness at all, and has a cool mixed berry sort of linger, slightly candied. good carbonation, neat starchy grain balance, quite earthy, and overall very fresh and kind of weird, id like to see some more beers that use this hop in a big dry hopping way like this, as far as i can tell from this beer, there is really nothing else quite like it!
