16oz can purchased at Community Pint for $4. Freshness date on the bottom of the can was poorly stamped and therefore a mystery. Per the label:
"In partnership with Stygian Bough, a collaboration between Bell Witch & Aerial Ruin, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to the Sweet Relief musicians fund, providing assistance to musicians struggling to make ends meet during times of hardship."
Poured into a 16oz mug, this was a milky yellow-amber color, with a somewhat tight, off-white head.
Big nose of tropical fruit-like hops. There's a slight sour note as well.
Taste is a bit more restrained than the nose. There's flavors reminiscent of tropical fruits, melons and oranges, with a slight sout tang that doesn't quite meld with everything else, and a mild, pithy citrusy note at the finish
Medium bodied, with a fairly soft mouthfeel that's about standard for the NE hazy style.
Decent. I enjoyed the can, but the slightly sour taste doesn't lend itself to making me want repeated pints.
