clean and flavorful, just what i want in the style, a little less light and minimal than many, but still a real easy drinker, nice with springtime weather peaking out, nice clarity, glistening, with a high white head from the tap, lots of carbonation, looks excited and even sort of regal. the nose and flavor suggest some european grain, biscuity to me, smells sweeter than it tastes, almost a corn element to the nose, but more earthy and dry in the taste, german, pils-esque, simple. the yeast is spot on, and this is well lagered, super authentic in flavor and snappy in feel, this is crisp and the hops work real well with the yeast too, bitter on the back end but i think very well timed and proportioned. sometimes less is more, and that is the case here, quality fresh ingredients and professional technique have this speaking for itself, and for all the weird and experimental stuff these guys are known for, its also really cool to see them clean up on the basics so well, that says a lot about them i think. warms up nicely with a little floral character from the hop, has just a bit more body than many, and overall is delicious, classic, and expert. nice!

Pours a clear golden color with brief ring of foam. Quite sharp and spritzy on the tongue. Fairly austere with just that hint of malty sweetness. Lemon and grain flavor. Crisp and resiny aftertaste. Moderate bitterness that would be better suited to a hoppy Pilsner.
Aroma is cereal with fresh bread and the citrusy note. Overall this is quite clean and quaffable, but less interesting than some of these light lagers. From the 12 oz can purchased at New Seasons. Canned on 07/01/21.
Nov. 2022 Update: From the 16 oz can dated 08/28/22. I like this year's much better. Quite mellow and warm with the same lemon flavor, but seemingly less bitter and richer in taste.
