Pours a clear golden amber with sticky pile of foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Lovely aroma of fresh straw and fruit. Flowery and resiny notes. Sudsy and mouthfilling. Warm and malty to start with cereal flavors. Cheerios and fresh bread plus an herbal note.
Just slightly bitter with a crackery aftertaste and a touch of greens like arugula. One of my favorites in the Pilsner style in a long time. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 05/16/22. Fun label.

been a long time since i had a classic style from these guys, not all done up with lactose and fruit puree and a million times dry hopped, very refreshing to see something a little more traditional come out of here, and also have it be this good, this authentic, very enjoyable can of pils here, true to style. the aroma is bready, european, familiar, but also fresh, drier than many right away, and with some pretty pepper hops to it, all the right things, on the more robust end of the spectrum. the grain really drives the flavor, its crackery pils malt of course, but also just slightly doughy and even nutty, like pizza dought and almond flour, just a tad more dense and dynamic than most, but then cleaned up so well by the old world lager yeast, which adds quite a lot and dries this out well. finally, the hops have some mild spiciness but a lasting bitter rush to them, short of the india pale lager mark but not by much, bold here to say the least, but it works with the extra flavorful grain and this remains in balance. drinkable but not as refreshing as some, doesnt need to be, i like its heartiness and robustness a lot, and the carbonation is high which is just right for this. nicely done, would love to see more of this kind of thing from these guys, nice to know they are still capable. a fun one to share with new beer friends!
