The appearance was a slightly dark copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lace, somewhat stringy and sliding. The aroma had some citrusy hops playing with a little bit of piney hops. Subtle hop spice hitting against a little bit of a clean malt base. The flavor leaned towards the sweetness at first and ended up having a slight bitterness and spicy content. Slight hop burn aftertaste with a dry sort of finish. The feel was light bodied with a good carbonation about it and the ABV felt appropriate. Overall, I’d say High Horse did what they wanted to with this one. And I’d say it’s good and worthy to have again.

Had on tap at the High Horse. The drink had a slight amber but predominately orange color appearance with a medium-sized head. The drink had some patchy lacing on the sides as it was drank and the beer also had a clear appearance. Aromas were quite delectable with a fruity smell, mostly orange and grapefruit, mixed with grassy hops. The taste included that orange flavoring with a predominant bittersweet flavor. The beer had a great body and was crisp and refreshing. Overall, this was a very tasty IPA.

Tap at the brewpub.
Light fizzy head, copper semi clear
Nose big grassy spicy hops, hint fruity citrus note, very light malt base.
Taste is decent, mostly spicy chewy hops, faint touch of citrus rind but not the grapefruit or citrus I was hoping for, quite bitter chewy spicy like, mild sweet toasty malt base. Bit crisp dry finish, long lingering bitterness.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb.
Overall OK, nothing too special but decent profile all around.

Enjoyed at the High Horse.
A - Poured into a standard pint glass a nice crystal clear light orange guild hue with a thin one finger white head that faded to leave light side lacing.
S - Aromas of light citrus, Nice grapefruit bitterness, light pale malts, wet hops, solid.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, very nice light tropical notes, good centennial and simcoe going on here. Nice bitter grapefruit on the finish, malts hidden by the solid hop profile. Light almost candid grapefruit peel going on. I dig this.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean, very sessionable which is what they were going for.
O - Overall this is pretty damn tasty, very drinkable great hop profile. Hmm...Well done.
