Served on-tap earlier today.
A- Medium golden pour to an 8oz glass. Frothy white head rises to half a finger. Fair retention, a medium ring and tons of drizzled lace.
S- Crackery and cereal malts balanced by bitter Euro/UK hops. Grassy and herbal with pale fruit esters.
T- Similar to the aroma with that delicate balance of hops and grains with some yeasty flavors like bread and white grape. Large cereal graininess alongside biscuit, spicy, herbal and a hint of citrus.
MF- Light-medium bodied with a crisp and frothy texture. High end carbonation ending with a light bitterness.
This style should be brewed more ordinarily in this country. Bitters are a style I seek out when available because they have such a high potential and I think it really is a style that can display a brewer's true prowess.
