Tuckahoe Brewing Company "The Long Hug"
12 fl. oz. can, coded "OFFICIAL BEER 2018 AC BEERFEST 5/7/19"
$1.99 @ Roger Wilco, Pennsauken, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Nice label. It's poured a massive head of off-white foam over top of a hazy amber colored body. I'll have to wait for it to settle. ... ... ... OK, it looks good and it smells good. It's citrusy, peppery, and woody - it almost has a Brettanomyces character to it. The flavor follows with notes of cedar, grapefruit, pink peppercorn, apricot, apple, pear, and lemon. The malt is firm but not sweet, and a solid bitterness backs it. A light tartness then helps to bring it to a dry, peppery and citrusy finish. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp with a fine-bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation. Overall it's quite interesting, and very well-balanced and rounded. It's refreshing and satiating at the same time ~ surprising as it's just 4.2% abv. Well worth grabbing while you still can!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
