A- This pours with a generous two finger thick head, that is just slightly off white, and has a soapy texture to it.....it does retain reasonably well, settling down to a puffy half finger worth of foam. The liquid is somewhat hazy and is fairly yellow in color. The lacing seems to be alright too, with a fair bit of sticky bubbly goodness clinging to the inside of the glass.

S- Smells fairly sweet for a Pilsner....lots of malt, slight citrus (lemon and maybe a little tangerine), dry graininess, crackers, and a finish that is again malty sweet, yet clean....not much in terms of hop bitterness to get excited about really.

T- The flavors are of crisp, cleansing yet not too terribly strong, hop bitterness, balanced out by malt sweetness, dry grassy grains, plain soda cracker, slight yeast and a citrus zest near the end. The finish shows off slightly oily in the hops but does linger on the palate, readying me for the next taste.

M/O- Light in body, and with zingy carbonation, this is a definite thirst quencher. Is this the best Pils out there? No it is not, however, this is thirst quenching and highly drinkable! Average aromas, better than average flavor in my opinion and just an easy going lager that I would enjoy again!

From a 12 oz can, canned 2 months ago, into a local. Bright straw yellow, one finger of tight head, good retention. Nose brings some grainy and crackery malt, as well as some lemon hoppiness. Taste brings some more hops: slightly vegetal and herbal…not a lot going on with the malts. Pretty lively and zippy, carb is high and it is on the more bitter side of things. Finishes fairly clean and crisp. Light body.

The August heatwave hit, and it has been chilly these last few weeks. A refreshing and crisp beer was in order. This is my second review from Elevation. The temperature is 44 degrees and served in a pils glass. The pour created a frothy and creamy white head with average retention. The dissipation lefts lots of lacing on the glass. Surveying the color, it charts around SRM 2 pale straw yellow. The clarity is brilliant, and carbonation bubbles dance lazily within. The appearance of the beer is above average.
Nosing glass, I smell crackers, white pepper, floral, and a touch of sweet malts. The aromas are simple and clean.
The flavors are white pepper, herbal, crackers, floral, a lightly toasted bread crust, and grassy.
The mouthfeel is clean and finishes crisp. The body is light and medium-high carbonation.
The pilsner is delightful and easy to sip.

Pours a bright and saturated golden-honeydew with one finger of white foam. Aroma is straw, bread, wafers, lemongrass, and grass with mild astringency. Flavor profile is grassy, melondew, bread, straw, and lemon zest. Mouth feel is crisp, at least initially, with a fuzzy finishing texture. Medium-thin consistency. Overall, a little astringent, but otherwise refreshingly crushable.

L- Beautiful pale yellow color that takes on a jewel like look with its 90% transparency. Head is 2F and white and fades fairly quickly with little lace. Bubbles look super fine as they stream up.

N- This smells like a German Pilsner. Good spicy & floral hop on the nose with a touch of a white bread loaf yeast component.

T- The hops come first but are not as bitter as some German Pilsners. The malt is right next to the hops and while not sweet gives a nice smooth body to the taste. There seems to be some acidic or mineral tang but nothing to detract.

M- Mouthfeel is a bit on the lighter side of medium with a nice smoothness along with some soft carbonation. Just a pleasure so far. I get the malt body on the side of the tongue and the hops drying out the middle a bit.

O- Well done. What a really nice interpretation and one that leans a bit on the lighter side of some Pilsners, but man is it balanced. This single is a week over 3 months so maybe it would be a bit hoppier if fresher, but tastes great right now.

EDIT: Revised down .25 on taste, feel and overall on 4-12-24 due to more experience with plisners. Still very good with the mineral vibe still a differentiator.

First time I've seen it in town. Retired? I doubt my cans are old; there's coding on the bottom of the cans but they're illegible to me.

Pours a lightly hazed straw yellow with a respectable head of foam, some lacing.

Smells of noble hops that, truly, come across as pungent. Some notes of bread or biscuit or both don't exactly shine but they're there. Is that pungency pine? Could be. Little bit artificial to my nose.

Noble hop taste, bread, sort of a piney flavour. Little bit of dankness going on. Not exactly a Pilsner that I am going to shout out and recommend but it is okay/drinkable.

Mouthfeel seems slick and enjoyable.

Middle of the road Pilsner in my book.

a tasty lightweight brew, but for one of those, i greatly prefer their 8 second kolsch, which stands as one of the better session type beers being made in colorado, at least for my money. this one is pretty tasty too though, with a nice light european pils malt base, crackery and simple, but not quite as dry as i like it to be, and a more prominent hop flavor than we are used to in the imports, still mild bitterness, but there is a decidedly fruity hop flash right before the finish, orange and lemon to it, really a cool little wrinkle and the defining element of this beer for me. i wish it was a little drier, i like my pils types to be really crisp, and this is a little short of that mark. i also want this style to have through the roof carbonation more often than not, and this one sags a little bit. that said though, its not way off at all, and its a perfectly pleasant warm weather drinker, and certainly up to the high quality standard elevation has established across their other beers. 8 second for me though over this one by leaps and bounds!
