I wanted to love this. Very well done, but IMHO, it’s slightly backwards. Cherry is the primary flavor up front, with a quite subdued rye whiskey flavor in the background. Whiskey up front with cherry as the highlight in the background would bw world class.

Ruby brown with very little head though carbonation is evident. The nose is beautiful! Bourbon, cherries, dark brown sugar, sweet vermouth, and at the very end a spicy note. The sherry barrel dominates the taste upfront. Tart cherries, dark cherries, Luxardo cherries, and even Jolly Rancher cherry comes crashing in. The finish is a mysterious bitter, something like Cynar. Tingly carbonation that slightly coats the mouth. This is fantastic! Everything works so well and is so enjoyable. I wish I had more.

Special limited release. "Aged in Bourbon & Sherry barrels".
Rich ruby brown where light passes through the center of the glass. Clear. Smaller, off-white head. A few larger streaks left on the glass.
Deep, rich smell of alcohol, molasses, and toffee. In a word, sweet. Strong cherry overtones.
The flavor mimics the smell. Boozy and rich-bodied. The taste reminds me of cherry-flavored brandy--the alcohol lingers through the aftertaste.
