750 ml bottle, bottle on 6/10/13. Pours hazy light yellow with a huge gushing fizzy white head that retains well and laces the glass a little.

The aroma is musty wheat malts with a little apple.

The flavor is sweet wheaty malts, green apple and a dry champagne finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation.

Overall, Just OK. Tart green apple and dry champagne.

Thanks to TATURBO for picking this beer up on your recent West Coast adventure!

750ml C&C bottle. bottle # 00536. bottled on 06.10.13.

A thunderous and booming pop as the cork left the neck of the bottle.

poured into tulip glass.

Appearance: This beer looks just like champaigne. Dull pale yellow bodied beer with massive white head on a gentle pour. Head drops down to thin cap. Spotty lace.

Smell: Mild lemon and lactic tartness. Fruity and yeasty. Slightly oaky. Cracker notes and wheat malts. A slight cheesy/yogerty funk.

Taste: A light tartness that tastes a little bigger than it smells. Clean and bright lemony and mild sweet orange citrusy notes. Hints of wheat malts. Slightly tannic oak note and hint of lactic and slightly cheesy and yogerty funk. Very nice!

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderately high carbonation levels. Super crisp and clean beer. So rediculiously drinkable its like carbonated water. Nice dryness level in this beer as well. This beer's mouthfeel is a benchmark for the style! WOWED!

Overall: Simple yet elegant berlinner wiesse. The mouthfeel of this beer is a shining example of what a berlinner weisse beer should be like on the palate; seriously spectacular mouthfeel! Really easy to take down this 750 bottle down by yourself. This is definately among "the greats" of its respective beer style. Highly recommended for all fans Berlinner Weisse!

Color is a pale yellowish with a big gush of head in the Faust Weissbier glass. The usual light body and sharp mouthfeel. Somewhat spritzy but not up to the German standard. Aroma is a slight whiff of vinegar with some faint grain.

Flavor is more on the tart than sour side, which is fine for drinkability in my opinion. Some hints of malt. Mostly it's a tangy, faintly fruity but extremely dry taste. Thin and slightly wheaty. Hints of grape skins and some lemon.

This is easy to drink, if you're trying out the style, but the nine dollar price seems excessive. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Grapevine Liquors in Denver.

Pours a light, whitish yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is woody, lemon, grapes, some wheat malt, a little bready too. Flavor was light and crisp with a nice dry finish; a little woody, lemon and its zest, grapes, creamy, a touch of bread. A light, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, Elevation with a really nice beer here. Super drinkable and some really nice flavor for such a low abv.

not quite as sour as the more authentic Berliner Weiss brews out there, but a very enjoyable one. light and effervescent in feel, it drinks like champagne. it also has a distinct white wine character to the nose and taste, which makes it even more like a glass of bubbly. the label just says oak barrels, but it would surprise me greatly if chardonnay was not the barrel used here. went well with Alaskan crab cakes, a pleasant uplifting beer to compliment the seafood. just a little hazy looking, apple juice color and a massive white head on the initial our but it settles quickly. clean tannic finish that is character Berliner style, but it lacks the lactic dryness of the best ones. overall another outstanding beer from elevation, I am surprised these guys haven't blown up yet. I always allow myself to pay what they ask for their beers because they are all unique and delicious.
