LOOK - very hazy - pale yellow / orangish - decent 1 finger head but quickly receded
SMELL - huge amounts mango and pineapple - very tropical - nothing else really
TASTE - powerful blast of hops - bitterness at first but sweetens and rushes into tropical fruit - some hints of malt/caramel/crackers later on, but the hops steal the show here
FEEL - Thick mouthfeel / oily and full - low on carbonation though
OVERALL - A very flavorful brew - powerful IPA - a bit boozy here and there but a decent balance between hops, bitterness, sweet malt, and booziness

Really unique-tasting double IPA on tap in Idaho Falls. Mostly clear pale pour with a foamy white head; lemon-lime citrus and yeasty phenols abound; melon; pine; hints of soft navel oranges and some grapefruit; pale malt. Alcohol is subdued, clean finish.

Hinda_65 sent me this treat as an extra. Let's see how she rolls.
Hazy honey-grapefruit color with a creamy cap of 1 finger. Nice transparency down at the bottom of the glass.
Fresh navel oranges and grapefruit on the nose, some extra green hop notes, and pale malts.
Wow. Resiny AND refreshing? This is a combo I've never had. It starts with a formidable assault of hop resins and pine oils, followed by a calming orange presence with hints of tropical fruit. Following that is some super glue/diesel from the yeast phenols, and finally a small splash of clean water. It leaves a finish that's much more bitter than it is sweet, with trailing notes lingering of diesel and thick hop oils.
Feel is much the same descriptors - resiny to start, clean and refreshing on the finish. An enigma.
Overall an enjoyable double that really redefines what one would expect from the style.

Great citrus notes on the nose with a slight bitterness on taste, with even more citrus taste, lots of passion fruit and mango characteristics. I'd put this against any treehouse or monkish out there! Get it if you can

Delicious, unbealivable.
10% beer that you can not feel. Very fruity, like citrus fruits, with a mild bitterness and amazing mouthfeel.

Pours a beautiful turbid/hazy orange to yellow. Nose is of citrus, pinnaple, light melon and pine. Taste of citrus and pine with slight bit of tropical fruits (mango, pinnaple) medium on bitterness. dry hopping came through fairly well. A bit on the boozy side but there is enough going on that it is manageable. It was a solid attempt at a northeast turbid IPA by Shades of Pale and I am honestly probably rating it higher than it really should be just because of my excitement level to try a local beer in this style. With that being said it is a good beer and the look of this beer while pouring is worth the price alone. Cheers.

Be careful the ABV sneaks up on you! It's easy to drink. The ABV is well-hidden. It's definitely a Northeast style IPA. It's very juicy and murky with a lot of citrus fruits: grapefruit, orange peel, lemon peel, pineapple. It looks like a mimosa. It's quite bitter in the end. A creamy mouthfeel. It's worth it, drink up!
