12 ounce chilled can into a pint glass at the brewery taproom.
Fine head, didn’t last.
Smells vanilla, little bit of bourbon.
Tastes like it needs to be muscled up somehow. Spice is there, but vanilla is out front.
Feel is creamy with mid carb.
Overall, my wife dumped a mini bottle of vodka in the glass and saved the day. Glad I only had 1.

Frankly, this beer scares me, an eggnog cream ale. I have a weakness for gimmicky beer and this one got me. I have passed this beer up several times to try because I do not want to be disappointed. Alas, today is the day I am going to see if the hype is like Michael Jordon or something way less like Lebron James. The pour of the beer created a three-fingered head with above-average retention. The bright white head is creamy and billowy and slowly dissipated. The head left some lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 3, pale gold with straw yellow hues. This beer is somewhat hazy with some activity within the murkiness. So far this beer is looking amazing. Let us get on with the rest of the review.
Initial aromas in the beer are cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, sugar, milk, and toasted malts. Nosing further, I detect sugar, wood, and allspice. This beer smells like eggnog, weirdly enough I am intrigued.
Flavors in the beer are sugar, milk, cinnamon, lightly toasted malts, allspice, bourbon, and oak.
The mouthfeel of the beer is creamy and smooth.
The body of the beer is medium, low carbonation, and a medium finish.
This is going to be hard to finish. This beer has all the flavors of eggnog but overly sweet. I do not detect much of the cream ale. The beer is too much for my palate. The sugar is off the charts for me to enjoy.

12oz can boasts some delicious adjuncts; poured into a nonic.
A: Surprisingly (not sure why though?) pale straw with minimal bright-white head and lace.
S: Mild aromas and a bit spritzy; lots of impressions of sweetness but its hard to pinpoint specifics...vanilla is there...milk sugar and caramelly bourbon, with light spices and fruitiness.
T: Those spices (nutmeg and allspice) are there but they really aren't at the forefront; I would say the vanilla is the most consistent flavor, with a constant but moderate lactose sweetness that lends to a creaminess, combined with some bourbon and oak.
MF: Creamy and smooth with a consistent layer of sweetness.
O: Honestly didn't 'pop' the way I hoped when I read the adjuncts on the can, though an eggnog beer can't be the easiest ale to brew.
