Poured from 12oz can into my BeerAdvocate teku. Date is stamped on the bottom, but it's impossible to read. This is billed as an "American-style sour ale" brewed with "key lime, graham crackers, cinnamon, vanilla, and lactose".
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and three fingers of pillowy ivory foam atop. It seems pretty inviting to me.
Smell: it definitely smells ... as-advertised. It's got a nice limey tartness and it's definitely sweet, with a distinct graham cracker aroma. It's hard for me to think of this as a beer, though. It's nice, and like I said, definitely what it says on the tin, but it doesn't seem super beery to me.
Taste: it's got all the lime and graham cracker from the aroma, but there's a funkiness to the tart that definitely identifies this as beer. A sweet and ridiculous beer, but a beer nonetheless.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's sweet and tart and definitely checks all the boxes for a refreshing beverage. It's definitely a malt beverage, but is it beer? I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader.
