this was my least favorite of the three or four beers i had in here. i thought it was overly hoppy, and not so "white" for a white ipa. i didnt get much cloudiness, and really no wheat flavor or feel. not even the belgian yeast and coriander and stuff some of these brewers are chucking in to make it "white". nothing doing here. its pine intensity, like a cleaner almost in the flavor, and then a pretty simple barley malt, or so it seems. i get nothing interesting on the grain front or in the yeast strain, both of those are entirely nondescript. the hops taste good to me, oily and fresh and pine forward, but the dosing is way off, its brutally bitter and hard to drink a lot of as a result. it really lacks balance, but it still has some real redeeming qualities. the flavors are all fresh and good, and the mouthfeel is nice, its carbonated superbly well, and is not lacking for flavor. had they just called this an ipa i would have liked it better, but i was left looking for the "white" parts, and they arent there in this one.
