Poured over two fingers of head on a clear, medium straw colored body. Looking good.
The aroma is unique. It has the smell of a fresh cut habanero mixed with a little pine and dirt.
The taste has a moderate grapefruit and pine bitterness, fairly clean.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
It's a showcase of Californian hops (I'm still trying to figure out the actual varietal) and decent drink too.

Poured from a burlap-wrapped bottle a clear dark gold with one finger of large-bubbled off-white head. No lacing left behind.

Aroma of earthy malts, caramel and no hop notes.

The taste was as malty and earthy as the aroma. Not really a hop presence except for a bite of bitterness. Boozy taste to the finish.

Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.

Disappointed with this one. No hop presence at all and plenty of maltiness. Not what I expected.

look: 3.75 | smell: 2 | taste: 2 | feel: 1.75 | overall: 2

Poured from 22oz bottle.

A- golden to bronze, very clear with a thin, but persistent lacy head

S- not overly aromatic, most notable aroma is that of wet cardboard

T- aroma of wet cardboard carried through to initial taste, finished with a bitter metallic bite and a little funky with a very, very, barely there, slight maltiness through, pretty boozy also.

M- carbonation and body is as expected from an American pale

O- didn't care for it, when I buy a wet hop ale I expect some happiness and there really isn't much here, bitterness is there, but if they really used cascade as the bottle claims it was not enough or or out of proportion.

The hops in Hop Sac were grown in the small town of Dixon, Ca where I have lived the last 6 years. I was really hoping that i would love this beer and go buy a case to throw in the fridge and make a staple, but not so much…
