Dark orangey brownish brew with hardly a flourish of foam, but the mouthfeel is sparkly. The aroma is heady and fruity. I noticed the label mentioned persimmons so I was prepared to taste them. The nutmeg I didn't see, but it's really distinct in the nose.
Malty and sweet. Quite spicy as it warms with a minemeat pie flavor. Odd aftertaste of tomato soup, though it's quite pleasant. This is really intriguing stuff and thoroughly drinkable. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Whole Foods.

A: Woah, woah! I open it, and the head immediately started slowly climbing up the neck of the bottle. I've never seen that happen. Hope that's not a bad thing...
Tamarind in color. No head. Murky, dirty yellow in the dimple. Decent sheeting. Thin lacing, that doesn't hold.
S: Aroma is a pleasant mix of tamarind, fig, and persimmon. I do smells some nutmeg, but it's not more than an accent.
T/MF: More fig and persimmon on the palate. A bit of raisin. I don't really get any nutmeg here.
Not bad. Not as festive as I though it would be. Not my favorite of the Dirt series, so far, but up there.
Poured from a 22 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.
