22oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Pitch black but no head
S: Lots of coffee, toasted malt, a bit of cocoa
T: Matches the nose with the coffee, chocolate malt and cocoa notes
F: Surprisingly light/thin given the dark flavors
O: Pure, enjoyable flavors but needs more body to match

I actually homebrew coffee porters, which is very similar to this coffee stout. From the 22oz bomber, there is very little head to speak of, and carbonation is low. It does make up for that with a very intense coffee nose and forward taste. The finish is fine, but this brew is way better enjoyed from the tap in their taproom on Ohio State Route 79 in Buckeye Lake.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with a half inch tan head that fizzed away quickly. There's a small amount of lacing. The aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like coffee, along with some roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, it's definitely a coffee dominant brew. I like the bitter, roasty coffee flavor. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit coating but also seems thin as well. Moderate carbonation. I thought this was a good brew, I just wish the mouthfeel was a little more substantial. If you like coffee beers, then you'll probably like this one just like I did! $6.99 a bomber.
