22 ounce bottle, no dating that I noticed on it. Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy copper color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like toasted malt, raisin, red grapes/wine, oak, caramel, toffee, and some bready/grainy malt. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some chocolate, black cherry and dried fruity flavors noticeable too. Barrel character isn't strong, but not weak either. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Booze is well hidden for being 10% ABV. I thought this was a good enough brew, glad I picked this up. Liked this one more than the base version. $13.99 a bottle.
