A: Now this is certainly something I've never seen before. It's a hazy straw colored beer, with tiny blueberries floating in it like little mines. On top is a fizzy white crown that doesn't stick long, but does leave some decent lace. I'll give a bonus half point simply for being different.
S: The nose on this one has a heavy blueberry fruitiness to it. With actual fruit floating in the beer, I can understand why. Behind the sweetness is a dry straw aroma that reminds me of many a pale lager.
T: The fruit theme continues. Think APL with berry syrup in it and you"ll be about right. The malts are there with a husky raw grain flavor. Bitterness is there to balance, but contributes no discernible flavor. The fruit flavor is front and center. It's not overpowering, but is a bit medicinal toward the end. Finishes tart and dry. I drank around the floating berries. Perhaps I should have swallowed them? Who knows.
M: The medium light body has a fine level of carbonation.
D: This is basically an APL with fruit floating in it. It seems more gimmicky than anything else. Interesting to try, but not worth a second look in my book.
