DATE: July 10, 2020... OCCASION: watching Sea of Monsters on the rainiest day of the summer--great movie night... the first taste was at the restaurant's patio visiting Shan's Uncle Mark... GLASSWARE: Penn State pilsner... active golden body, blurred to the eye through the glass, with a wide array of bubbles... its off-white head settles nicely to a quarter-width smear with bubbled clusters wreathed around it... toasted cracker malts, sweet caramel, cereal oats, some corn that sweetens the deal... its hops are light and ineffectual, while its adjunct aspects make for some odd wafts... first sip is light, softly textured, easily drinkable and nothing on its aftertaste... cracker, toasted oat, orange and lemon, caramel, sweet adjuncts that don't quite deliver a clean or fulfilling flavor... its overall experience is doable but not worth seeking out unless imbibing at the restaurant itself...
