32oz. growler into Tired Hands stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a .25 finger foamy pink head with little retention. Beer is a clear bright red. Lacing is very spotty and sparse with little cling. Head and lace are a little poor but the color is AMAZING!
Nose is cherry puree with a wheaty, tart funk presence. Very aromatic, clean and simple.
Opens tart cherry, lemon zest, a bit of wheat and foam. Slightly watery in the middle with more tart cherry presence and hay. The hibiscus is almost entirely missing. Ends wheat, lemon and more cherry. Pretty clean and dry finish. Simple... which is nice, but a bit watery.
Light bodied with ample carbonation. Foamy and lively in the mouth and dry going down. Bone dry finish with a sticky, lingering aftertaste. Spot on for the style and very drinkable!
In color, smell and feel, this beer is spot on. However, the flavor comes off as just a bit watered down. Surely sessionable but this needs a little more oomph to be at the top of its class in the flavor department.
