Brewed with cherry wood smoked malt and wheat. Soured with naturally occurring lactobacillus for 30 hours, fermented dry with our house ale yeast, and then dry-hopped with Chinook and Simcoe. A strong, kinda hoppy Lichtenhainer of sorts. Try it with or without our house-made local plum syrup. Unbelievably weird and refreshing. 6.0% abv
Named after our dear friend and neighbor, Shawn Plumadore. This beer reminds me of a sunny day, listening to Slayer, drinking beer, and grilling in Shawn's backyard. Slayer.

Beer style is a Lichtenhainer, which as best as I can tell is a smoked wheat sour ale.
32oz growler poured into a large snifter
Appearance: Pours a dark golden orange with 2 fingers of a white head that settles to a thin ring. Body is lightly hazy with light visible carbonation.
Smell: Smoked malt, red apple, cherry, wheat, some lacto and caramel.
Taste: Cherrywood, smoke, grain, clean sourness, caramel apple. Sourness is low.
Mouthfeel: Light medium bodied with medium gentle carbonation. Finishes tart and semi dry, with a bit of residual sweetness.
Overall: Probably one of the strangest beers I've had from Tired Hands (and that's saying something), but very good. This is the first smoked sour ale I've ever tried and definitely something I'd like to see more of.

Golden straw with plum purple hues from the syrup. Active carbonation, fizzy thin head that disappears quickly, and some lacing that doesn't stick around. Nose is of tart character, plums, cherry, oak and a smokey backbone. Taste delivers, starts off with a sour tart bite bringing through those cherry and oak notes with a hint of smokey earthiness. Finish is fruity from the plum syrup cutting through that tartness and balancing it just right. Light bodied, higher carbonation and crisp dry finish. Beers like this are making me a bigger fan of the style, this delivers great flavors and is crisp, tart and refreshing.
