Wheat IPA brewed with 50lbs of local Pa wildflower honey. The honey was added directly to the fermenter pre-fermentation, ensuring that all of the delicate flavors and aromas remained in the beer and were not volatilized during the boil. Dry hopped with Simcoe and the all-mighty Cascade.

Bright pale golden yellow, big fluffy white head that settles out and leaves spotty lacing. Clean biscuity notes, citrus piths, pine and a sweet floral character round out the aromas. Subtle biscuity notes give way to notes of lemon pith, under ripe kiwi, and cut flower. Finish brings some pine send is rounded out with a touch of that honey flavor coming through. Trademark soft mouthfeel, lighter body, creamy and a sticky feel in the finish. Overall this brings some interesting flavors to the IPA party and a never cloying but balancing sweetness. We'll done.

On tap at TH.

Hazy yellow-orange pour, with a medium-sized white head that dwindled to a collar and held there, lacing the glass nicely. Hop-forward aroma, citrusy, grassy, fresh and crisp. Despite supposedly showboating wildflower honey, there was really no honey detectable in this beer, the hop profile was just too strong. But, as I do love Simcoe and Cascade, I saw no problem here...it was a very good IPA, as expected from Tired Hands. Fresh citrus rind and pith, wet grass, mellow biscuity malts in the background. Medium body, crisp and very drinkable. The honey didn't really translate, not to me anyway, but this was a very nice IPA overall nontheless.
