A dark mild brewed with plenty of high dried malt. Comforting and simple.

Ouch. Another review I just kept putting off. Anyway...
Three massive fingers of head bubble up over a brownish cola body. It's almost red on the margins where light can seep through. Head takes its sweet time receding, but doesn't have the decency to leave any lace in its wake. Still a reasonably pretty beer. Smells a bit oxidized. Dig below that surface level, though, and there's some pleasantness to be had. Soft malt notes with maybe a little toasted nuttiness. Almost zero hop presence on the nose, or at least that's how I perceive it. I don't really taste any, either, but what's there is pleasant enough. More nutty goodness. Lightly toasted white bread. A slight hint of cocoa powder on the back end, though it kind of falls off a cliff; finishes incredibly flat. Not terribly carbonated, which is apparently common for the style, but a smidge more may have helped matters. A little thin of body, as well, but I wasn't expecting much @ 3.2% ABV. Flawed but decent beer that may well be better fresh. Nice artwork on the label earns a few bonus overall points.

Pours a dark cola brown. Thick, frothy off-white head forms on the beer lingering for a bit before dissipating completely. Aroma has notes of dark nutty malts, pumpernickel bread, lightly toasted or roasty, with some earthy, grassy hop notes.
Taste follows the nose with notes of pumpernickel, nutty malts, toasted bread, light roastiness, and some earthy hops on the back end. Ever so slight bitterness. Feel is light, thin, a tad watery. Easy drinking. Moderate carbonation.
Overall a very nice English dark mild ale.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one from his slam during NBS BIF #15. 16oz can (dated 3/19/22) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid black color with about an inch-and-a quarter of light tan head that had decent retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was fairly much as expected: solid, but soft, malts, a slight touch of roast, and some light, earthy and grassy hops.
Fairly similar on the tongue, with the addition of a slight touch of hop bitterness.
The body was light-medium, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish that dried out after a few moments.
Drinkability was good, a beer you could have a few of during a session.
Overall, a nicely solid take on the style. Worth a shot if you see it.

Canned 03/09/2022 "Cheers" stamped
Pours a deepest brown, Bright light reveals garnet highlights along the edge.Nice sandy head asserts itself two fingers and slowly recedes to a thin film. Ever so slight lacing.
Aroma is spot on for style. A smooth ride of toasty malt, hints of toffee, caramel, apple, and raisin. Slightly earthy.
Taste follows beautifully. Starts off with a mild toasty caramel meets toffee note with very subtle sweetness that hints at nuttiness. Fruit notes give some date, plum, and hints of apple. Dries out a bit to finish with a nice smooth, earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, carbonation is low.
Overall, this is a lovely dark English Mild.

Canned March 9, 2022. Poured into a Tired Hands Teku.
Color is a dark cola brown. Fairly effervescent on the pour. The light cream colored head lasted about a minute before receding to a thin ring.
Aroma is perhaps a little heavy on the roast, but not to its detriment. Nice toffee and caramel notes round out the profile.
On the tongue this has a nice nutty / toffee flavor. Dry, roasted finish with very little bitterness. It's very clean and easy drinking. Makes me wish I were enjoying this at the brewery or in a pub vs. in front of my computer!
Feel is light bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall, this is the type of beer that doesn't stand out, but doesn't try to either. It's a good, lower ABV beer that you can easily envision knocking back a few pints of while hanging with your friends.

Tall can procured at the brewery...7-20-18...so yeah it's fresh
Pours darker brown, minimal head and limited lacing left on the glass.
Caramel and dark malts on the nose.
Light chocolate, darker grains, light caramel all noted on the palate, lighter in body....pleasing and refreshing....went well with some sausage and sourkraut on a mustarded hot dog bun....yummy...very nice for a change away from my recent and typical parade of IPAs

On tap at Pony Bar HK. This batch is listed at 3.2%. The body and flavor seem a little off in that it's thin (even for this strength), a touch juicy, and there's a hint of acidity. There are, however, some lovely flavors of plum, caramel, toast and coffee. I might not order another, but I'll enjoy this one.
