Spiced Saison that was fermented and conditioned in freshly emptied Vin Santo casks. Brewed in April of 2015 and aged for a year before bottling in April of 2016. Beautifully lush, tons of expressive oak, toasted coconut, and bright tart lime.

Moderately hazy orange with a short off-white froth that dies to a condense, bubbly collar leaving some curly arms of lace on the glass.
Smell brings insanely, intensely distinct apple, pear and banana notes, like all the way, the whole time, with maybe a touch of cracked wheat. This is amazing for a beer with no fruit added. To be so cleanly expressive of these fruits? Wow.
Taste is nicely tart spiced pear and slightly vinous white wine and wild herb. The medium body has a moderate, tightly formed carbonation that brings out some sharp oak and citrus zest before a semi-dry finish.

poured from 750 ml bottle, into goblet
cloudy yellow golden in color, not much head after the pour. aroma is a touch funky, and sour. earthy flavor, which is fairly tart - some lemon notes. fuller body than typical for a saison.

Moderate pour yields a 1/4 inch white head over bright (not hazy) light yellow body with scant lacing. Nose of citrus and pomegranate. Taste mirrors nose exactly being fairly sour in the process. Good feel and overall, an (almost) great little saison (American Wild Ale?) right here. Cheers!

This beer is retired but i just purchased it off the shelf at the tired hands store and there were plenty of bottles left on the shelf. It was a delicious citrus forward, earthy mid palate, and oaky finish beer that was pleasant on the nose and of course palate. The feel was light but the flavors lasted throughout from beginning to end! Nothing weird like some of their other beers but a solid BA saison that was enjoyable. Cheers

S- Stone fruits, pulms, red wine, hints of lemons, some funk, touch of caramel malts.
T- Sour, pulms, raspberries, lemon, wine barrel, oak, hints of vanilla, earthy spice, some caramel malts, hints of funk.
M- Smooth, light, dry.
O- This is the most unique “saison” from Tired Hands, I feel calling an American Wild Ale would be more appropriate than calling it a Saison, but Tired Hands is calling it a Saison. I feel it is more like an intentional soured Dubbel aged in wine barrels.
