On tap at the "creepy" Parageusia bar, served by the [insert whatever adjective suits you] Christian Zellerfield.
Side by side with Para8 of course. Both were very good, but I definitely preferred 8 to 9, and in that regard I seem to be in the minority, with even CZ saying he liked 9 better. But oh well, I guess I'm just contributing to the "cosmic balance." This beer was slightly darker in color than its counterpart, leaning more towards amber, with a small, lasting white ringlet. Funk and wood in the nose, notes of stone fruit and white wine. (Note, as usual, there is no fruit in this.) Farmhouse taste, wet oak, sweet stone fruits, white wine, medium sour twist. This was definitely more sweet than 8, and slightly chewier in the mouthfeel, and I think that's what made this the lesser preferred of the two for me personally. Of course, it was still great, and I'm looking forward to [hopefully] getting a bottle when they're released.
Supposedly, this is the final entry in the Paraguesia series, but when I asked CZ if it was possible that he'd regenerate and provide us with further iterations, he seemed to indicate that is was within the realm of reason.
