Poured from a corked bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Light golden pour... lightly hazed with a finger of fizzy white head. Decent lacing... sediment at the end of the pour.

S: Tart and fruity... funk, citrus, and spice.

T.F: Dry crackery grains and tart fruit. Lemon citrus... vinegar and funk. Oak... white wine notes with subtle baking cherry in the background. There's the sensation of sweetness with some salivary gland teasting tartness. Green fruit and spice. Light bodied... crisp and surprisingly clean. Well carbonated and effervescent.

O: An outstanding tart saison... Tired Hands does these as well as anyone.

The label on this bottle makes me so happy - though I was a bit confused when I realized it wasn't a Mikkeller bottle! The artwork is so similar!

Anyway. That label is going on my beer fridge!

Boogie Woogies pours a beautiful yellow tone - it's semi-transparent, though it doesn't seem to have any significant suspended matter of any kind. Not hazy, but not entirely clear. The nose and taste are rich with brett funk. It's just a bit tart, with plenty of barnyard taste notes. Certainly not a sour, but also not quite exactly a traditional saison - in fact, there isn't really any yeastiness to the taste at all. I'm a big fan of that. It's fairly clean in that way. Carbonation is fairly aggressive - definitely keeps the beer from being one note and boring.

I really like this. I'm not typically a big fan of brett, but this is quite drinkable and very good. I'd happily drink this, or something similar, on a regular basis.

The look is hazy yellow-orange with streaming carbonation and a white head.

The nose is complex. Lemon, pineapple, cherry, passion fruit, saltine cracker, and funk.

The taste is lemon, honey, white pepper, and oak, with tropical flavors in the background.

The mouthfeel is medium and lightly puckering, with a semi-dry finish and lingering pineapple and saltine flavors.

Overall, a bright, pretty beer that's less fruity than you'd expect with the amount of fruit in it. Nice oaky balance. Pushing 4.5 but I'll go with 4.25.
