Clear pilsner gold with a frothy white head settling to a bubbly collar.

This is straight up chardonnay with a light, funky effervescence. Actually, in flavor, there's even a surprising amount of pilsner qualities to go along with its appearance.

really cool wild beer with white wine grapes, these guys just keep coming with the innovative beers, and this one comes in some really unique packaging, the old cork and capped clear bottle, you dont see too much of that, but its sexy and it suits this beer. i didnt know there were multiple versions of this either, i think i need to source the others, this one was fantastic. tired hands always has such a cool fermentation profile in these sorts of beers, and its cool here too, tart but not overly acidic, funky and musty and old worldy wild, well developed brett in here but also unconventional, a mix of agents i suspect, really nice, and that definitely leads the way in aroma and flavor. the grapes are tart and tannic from the skins, a touch sweet from their flesh, lightly floral in the nose, elderflower or jasmine or something there, some honeysuckle and tea in the flavor, wet oak, and wet cereal grains supporting it just enough. the combination of the fruit, the yeast, and the rawness of the grain is really awesome, this seems primitive yet so refined at the same time, and the high carbonation is just right for it. soft stone fruit sweetness and lemon acidity as it warms, seemingly both from the grapes, and then a neat earthy mineral profile to close. exceptionally good, huge thanks to my brother for sharing, i always look so forward to beers from these guys and they never disappoint! super special stuff, need to try the others in this series! i liked this better than the skin contact, the only other one i have had so far...

Poured from a corked bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Nearly clear light golden pour with 2 fingers of fizzy white head. Some debris/sediment at the end of the pour.

S: Tart and funky. Oaked white wine, pear, grape must, and apple skin.

T.F: Tart up front mixed with some residual fruit sweetness. Nice white wine character... oak, vanilla, and grape must. Pear and nearly ripe summer fruits. Some funk and spice... mild acidity. Medium to light bodied with ample carbonation.

O: Another absolutely awesome beer in the 'Frequency Illusion' series. Complex, tart, and fruity. Great flavor and drinkability.
