Hazed light yellow with a half finger of near-white head. Poor retention, but decent lacing.
Wood, toast, onion and white wine in the nose.
The wine takes center stage in the taste. Fairly sweet and syrupy, not unlike canned pears, with a kiss of lemon-lime. Just a hint of wood and skunk in the finish.
Medium bodied, lightly sticky, nice carbonation.
Not really feeling this one. Even for a Riesling, this is very sweet, and if anything, the oak fermented lager seems to detract from the taste and aroma (although the carbonation and lacing are both very nice).
