We brewed this IPA with creamy oats and double dry hopped it with Citra Cryo and conditioned it atop heaps of house-processed mango.

Shockingly pale hue, lighter even than lemon. Modest head production and retention, at best. Body is hazy with a fair amount of noticeable sediment out of suspension.
As unimpressive overall as the appearance falls, the nose is quite delightful. The mango doesn't stand out awkwardly, but instead blends with the Citra Cryo seamlessly. Slightly floral, with additional notes of orange, lemon, and guava.
Fairly thin on the palate, perhaps unsurprising given the fairly low ABV, but there's a definite creaminess courtesy of the oats - and possibly even the mango. There's a very natural earthy sweetness, partly from the mango, and partly from the dank expression of the Citra. It overall works together very, very well.
The mouthfeel nonetheless suffers from a lightness that the oats can't quite overcome. It almost falls into a strange middle ground: is it creamy and soft, or is it crushable and light? Ultimately, it's a little bit of both, but fully committed to neither - and as a consequence, some of the flavor's punch is subdued. Still, this is a very good beer, and quite enjoyable.

(16 oz can, S&B 04/12/2023; picked up in swap with The_Kriek_Freak... poured into my Trillium fat tulip)
L: pale, straw-yellow liquid with little haze upon initial 2 oz sniff pour... wow! tons of flecky sediment once the remainder is poured in; lousy foam retention
S: pineapple syrup, lime pith; top note of floral, perfumy hand soap... Citra/oat combo comes through after 30 seconds, then pineapple danish... smells well attenuated, or just dry... band-aid creeps out after 2 min... mango funk later materializes, of course after the palate is drenched in this juice... overall showing some density and depth, but lacking clarity
T: Citra soup, with back-end notes of dried flowers, pineapple frond/skin, powder from rolled oats... second sip: more of a strident bitterness, stretching front to back across the palate, which eventually lets up... the mango seems like a vague highlight, not a juicy, dominant flavor, as one might expect... the band-aid from the nose later emerges to accent this mango essence... the resulting overall taste is that of fruit danish aromatics (sans pastry sweetness) with a backdrop of floral white wine
F: silky to a degree up front but, like the smells suggested, relatively thin in body... little roundness or depth, flat-planed flow; bitterness and booze soon stun the palate... I'm really wondering what effect the conditioning atop mango did to the mouthfeel here; are there enzymes in mango that would essentially act like or aid in hop creep?
O: interesting expressions; curious mouthfeel... considering its flaws as a standalone liquid, I can't help but suggest this might shine better supporting/accompanying some buttery, baked white fish, with maybe a fruit-studded, acidic side salad (2127)
