32 oz. growler poured into a Teku snifter.

Appearance - Remarkably clear golden body. Small white head. Very light surface wisps.

Smell - Grapefruit hop. A touch of pine. A bit of graininess.

Taste - Grapefruit hop. Some sugars, but it's tempered by a nice deep grainy malt. A bit of sugar and bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. Low carbonation.

Overall - Had this after HF Double Citra. Stood up well. Funky grain bill, though.

32oz swingtop growler purchased at the brewery.

Appearance: Pours a very clear and bright orange with a 1 finger white crown that displays moderate retention and medium lace.

Smell: Lots of citrus....oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, almost a strawberry passion fruit like quality (galaxy?), with some supporting resinous pine. I'm fairly certain simcoe is in this puppy.

Taste: Same as the nose but with a light sweetness from the malt that serves as the platform for transforming hop aroma into flavor. Bitterness is at an interesting level. Not bitter enough to overpower the sweet citrus quality of the hops, but still on a level that satisfies. I'm guessing like 105 calculated ibu's, 80 actual?

Mouthfeel: Thick side of medium bodied with just the right amount of a "chewy syrup" like quality due in part to the low carbonation.

Overall: A solid offering. I have to think that some hop flavor and aroma was lost in the effort of filtering this beer to a state as clear as it comes in. Drinkability is high.

First had: on tap at Tired Hands

"Double IPA brewed with oats and wheat. Hopped with a blend of Zythos, Chinook, Simcoe, and Amarillo."

Clear, golden-yellow pour with a nice fluffy cap of white head; moderate retention and lacing. Aroma = hops. Citrus, stone fruit, pineapple, pine needles. All of this followed through in the taste, with a light, biscuity malt base bringing in a nice balance and keeping the bitterness in check, and a slight yeasty funk in the distance; higher ABV nearly undetectable. Mouthfeel was crisp and fresh, carbonation was soft. Pretty typical TH goodness overall. Hard not to like.

"WiggleWürm: A funny Double IPA. 9.5%"

Excellent double IPA from start to finish. Incredibly hoppy with great fruit and citrus taste and smell. Mouthfeel was not too thick for a DIPA. Overall very drinkable , as I went back for more. Recommend that anyone in the area who likes DIPAs try this.
