With such a name and art on the cover I was really expecting more a punch. Weak right out of the gate to the point where even I can handle it. Flavour was neither good or bad but we were all at an agreement that it just inst great.

This is the first beer I felt I needed to review because how awful it was! Terrible flavor and not sour. Just not good at all in my.opiniob and should be removed from the shelves for everyone else's sake. I ended up pouring mine out half way through and I'm not even that picky of a beer guy.

473 mL can from the LCBO; best before Aug 29 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a bright, clear golden-yellow hue, sporting more than an inch of foamy, soapy white head that lasts for a little over five minutes' time. A beautiful curtain of messy lace adheres to the glass, with a tight collar and sudsy cap left floating upon the surface - very visually appealing, but the nose is another matter entirely. I'm getting gritty, grainy malts and a hint of crackery sweetness, with faint whiffs of lacto-funk; the berry/fruit character is exceedingly muted.
A dull, mildly off-putting fruit sour that is neither particularly fruity nor sour. Bready malts and graininess come through first, with restrained raspberry flavouring coming through mid-sip. Leafy hop bitterness on the back end, with hints of citrus and weak lactic acidity/tartness dissipating into an aftertaste of diluted berry and graininess. Light in body, with moderate carbonation and a frothy, relatively pleasing mouthfeel that aids its drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.24, a meagre C+. Sucker Punch Red Raspberry Sour is possibly the lamest raspberry beer I've ever had, which is doubly disappointing as I tend to enjoy raspberry beers more than most other fruited beers. Also, why go out of your way to call it a "red" raspberry sour when it isn't even red? That's just plain dumb - and for the record, I personally couldn't care less about the colour, I literally just don't get why. Better than their old Sucker Punch Sour IPA recipe, but it's still a poor beer that I wouldn't recommend or return to.
