473 mL can from the LCBO; best before Mar 18 2026 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a foggy pale golden colour with some pulpy sediment hovering throughout the liquid; more than two inches of soapy, foamy white head is situated atop. It falls off within a few minutes, swiftly reduced to a creamy collar and thin cap; a half-inch band of lace is left clinging to the perimeter. Looks good, and it smells like orange juice, I'll give it that - I'm also getting hints of lemon, wheat and a subtle, musty funk.
Not far off from an actual glass of orange juice, though it does have a sugary orange-ade vibe going on, as well. That's basically it: there are hints of wheat, as well as a very restrained lactic acidity later on, concluding with more orange dissipating into a fruity-sweet aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderate carbonation that adds some spritz to this brew's soft, juicy mouthfeel. Ridiculously easy to drink, which works out well, because there are no compelling reasons to take your time and savour this one.
Final Grade: 3.69, a B grade. Rather low sourness for the style, to the point where you could fairly consider Main Squeeze Orange Juice Sour to be a plain old fruit beer - or maybe a 'low abv screwdriver' would be more accurate? I dunno, it's inoffensive, easy to drink, and it does what it says on the tin, but I don't find its lack of beer-like traits to be endearing. On the other hand, it's ten times more approachable than their Sucker Punch series - so I suppose if an orange juice beer sounds right up your alley, this will be worth a try.
