Very refreshing beer. Great funk and lemon complexity. Brett / Barnyard is amazing for a saison at such a low ABV. This is one of the best new Brett beers of the year for me so far. Highly recommended.

Pale yellow body; cloudy; thick, white, billowy head. Initial brett funk that mellows out with a citrus and grassy character; lemon. Gentle sourness on the tastebuds also with a lemony tang; some yeastiness. Rather light in body with a crisp, tangy, dry mouthfeel.
This is my first experience with TRVE beers and if this is what one can look forward to, well I'll be diving into many more of their offerings. This is a very tasty, tart and acidic, lemon-tinged beer that delivers balance and complexity in easily approachable doses. Good stuff, Maynard...

on tap at hops and pie. nice to see these guys getting some kegs out into the market around town a little bit. this is a mighty good one, a bretty funky but rather basic and grainy pale saison. its super low alcohol and super easy drinking, and i think in general these are the beers trve does the best. its washed out and cloudy looking, very delicate though, with an airy white head like a soda, dissipating quickly but retaining bright and refreshing carbonation. a tangy bretty funk to this on the nose, a little grassy hop addition late, but mostly the wheat malt and whatever other grain is in here, maybe some oats, it has more body than others like it, and a touch of sweet in the center. i like the farmy rustic yeast in here, and have not really tasted one quite like this from them before. likely a mix of saison ale yeast and some brett, patiently fermented down to crackling dry. i could drink this one by the gallon, and like that they made it only moderately hoppy and not very sour at all. it lets this drink nice and easy, which is not the norm for these guys and their wild stuff. a little price prohibitive, which is my only real criticism of this one. im sure they will do some single hop editions or something, because this is a very compelling and delicious little base beer. everything these guys are putting out lately has been sensational.
