Canned 7 weeks ago.
Pours lightly hazy golden yellow with no head.
The nose is watermelon and lemon, and the taste follows. Watermelon, lemon, and green apple. Light and clean. Low tartness.
The mouthfeel is on the light side of medium.
Overall, very nice. Delicate and refreshing with a substantial yet balanced amount of watermelon.

Gold in color with a light haziness. No discernible head. The aroma is of aggressively earthy saison yeast. I’m tasting plenty of earthy saison yeast with a nice and playful watermelon finish. The mouth is light, moderately salty, and moderately carbonated.

this is one of, if not the single best beer these guys have made to date, and i have not generally been a fan of any of the watermelon stuff, but this is absolutely on point. a white winey brett fermented wild saison, oaky and tannic, with watermelon juice or fruit added, who cares which, its sensational and i need more of this. i hope this one makes it to a bottle, because i really do believe its among their best work. on tap today for lunch at hops and pie, its hazy and straw colored, with a short white head thats easily swirled into something more lively. it is strong too according to the menu, some 9% abv, which can be felt but not smelled or tasted. the watermelon has some bitterness, like there is rind in there, and for once the flavor is not too forward, balanced instead by white wine notes, tangy brett, and heavy wood, its awesome! some floral summery elements, but the beer has more richness than fruitiness, its perfectly dialed in on that front, just stunning in overall quality. just enough sour and acid and pucker to dry it out, but its a crusher, even being strong, its hard to put the glass down. one of the best watermelon beers i have ever come across, and certainly up there with the best these guys have put forth to date!
edit: in a can now, with one of the coolest labels ever, so sexy. im not sure if the recipe has changed, but its not quite as epic as i remember it being, listed on the can as 5.6% abv, i remember it being stronger... still dry and funky and bretty and natural on the watermelon side of things, very well done still, tangy and cleanish. just turned down the epic a little bit...
