On tap at Das Biergarten. Slightly hazy golden. Smells of lemon and a little bit of vomit. Some yeasty funk beyond that. Tastes of grain and light lemon tartness. Some orange citrus and then it goes downhill. Funky and very sour spike in the back end leaves a little vomit and some vinegar. Unpleasant. Medium body. It isn't completely undrinkable, but it's a struggle.

i am now fully convinced that every single time i have a new beer from these guys its going to blow my mind, as this one surely did. a mixed culture wild one with simcoe and equinox, and it really is the best of both worlds, drinking like a wild ipa, so good! its pale and hazy from the tap but very bright and very lively, and it smells like heaven, sliced grapefruit and cantaloupe, juicy and new, but also acidic and funky at the same time, i love the house culture here, its the right mix of acidic and bretty, and it seems to always bring the best out of hops. the simcoe here is very vibrant, and it also seems to add some bitterness, which is uncommon in these mostly dry hopped wilds, i think it really works. the fruitiness of both hops resonates nicely with the yeast, especially the citrusy acidity in here, not super sour but tart enough to quench like good lemonade. its effervescent on the carbonation too, totally alive and popping, the perfect texture for these flavors. this is a happy reminder that spring is close, and further confirmation that trve is one of the best breweries in the city, especially for this sort of thing!
