L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a yellowish color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: A light and funky aroma of peaches, Belgian-style yeast, spices, and citrus fruit.

T: Tasted of some spices (pepper, in particular), a lot of funky Belgian-style yeast (present throughout), a bit of citrus fruit (lemon, especially), and a good shot of peaches. A sweet and lively flavor. Peaches can be a hit and miss ingredient, but this is certainly a hit. They're quite prominent, but never obnoxiously. Pretty tasty.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a vibrant finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An interesting and refreshing summer beer. Drinkable.

 

Poured from a 375mL bottle into a small water glass.

An oak-aged, mixed culture saison, fermented on local (Colorado) peaches - intriguing.

Extraordinarily active in the glass, very pale citrine liquid with no head formation despite furious fizzing.

Heady aromatics, with a lovely mix of green peppercorn, wild pears, and farmhouse/lactic funk. The peaches emerge more as the ale warms.

Bracing lemon-infused sourness on the palate entry, becoming progressively rounder and sweeter into the bright medium-dry finish. Hints of hay and stone fruit throughout - the peaches are present, but their core flavor is driven away by the oak. Complex and tasty.

Light-bodied, spritzy, but faintly creamy. ABV is well concealed.

Expensive, although the labor involved in crafting this ale is evident. A shame the peaches and base beer are largely overwhelmed, although the oak and "bugs" are by no means excessive.

 

gosh they are all so good in here this one is a mixed culture saison type with peaches, and its so juicy and aromatic and awesome! hazy and even milky thick from the bottle, but the smell of these peaches is crazy, so ripe and yellow and drippy, with a honey note from the grain and the tartness of the skins and kind of fuzzy and summery, my mouth is watering like mad, and there is some cool trve funk to this as well. the flavor is just as good as the nose, but the peaches come on really late. its neat that they sort of wait to get started, it lets the base saison speak its piece, which is funky and tart and starchy and weighty, rustic, delicious. its not super dry though because the peaches come on sweet. they are natural though, and linger longer than any other element, super tasty! this one isnt quite as refined as some others, and might need a little time in the bottle to clean itself up, a little new, a little cheesy, i dont know that from other trve beers like this, but overall its awesome. looking forward to seeing how it develops though, these guys blow my mind every time!
